My Knowledge.

I have behind me a lifetime of love for games, specially adventure horror games but RTS and others may sneak in as well.

School:
The first time I got to choose what I wanted to study, there wasn’t much choice, either vehicles or electricity. Since all skinheads went with the Vehicle option I selected Electricity (Computer Focus), besides some political differences also due to the fact that enjoy computers more the cars.
Here I almost got kicked out because I spent to much time programming instead of focusing on the rest of the courses.

Boring Times:
There is a bit of a gap after that, unemployment, boring unemployment musts, like sitting for weeks at end writing CVs to get cash. Not enough knowledge to code good and no energy to do anything.

Playground Squad:
Got some help from a friend calling himself FsFreak, mostly know for bollen, he got me up and coding a bit so I could apply for a workEducation school with focus game development, this is basically where I learned to code. It had some AI courses, Linear Algebra, RenderWare and lots of small game projects. That’s about it, made a few friends during this time that i still talk to, the education was 1½ years long. We did 4 projects where one was some work for a danish company called Zeitguyz.

School of future entertainment:
This is the best education I have had by far, most classes where a breeze because I had done stuff in the same area before (AI, Liner Algebra, Etc). This allowed me to focus on my own projects and explore new areas, I got into writing my own renderers and engines fromthe ground up using DirectX and PhysX. We competed in Swedish Gameawards warmup compo in 2008 and came shared second place with our game Endemic Warfare. I miss school and the freedom you had, if you spend your time right there, you can do miracles. I made even more friends during this education simply due to the fact that we hade more coders here then at PSQ.

Monumetal Games:
I am currently employed and have worked for monumental games for a year now. I am working on a MMO title callede Football Superstars. Most of my working time goes into bug fixing but also implementation of new features and function both server and client side, as well as working with our core technology. It’s a good job but sometimes I wonder, if working in the industry is like this, what would it be like actually working with something that you deeply care for yourself instead of just being hired to do a job.

Areas of knowledge:
These are the generic areas of game related knowledge I currently posses.

C++, VB, OpenGL, DirectX, PhysX, Box2D, FMOD, Source SDK, Multiple Server/Client “MMO”Software, AI, Data Structure and Algorithms, 6+ Game Projects, Engine Design, Gameplay Design, FSM, Fuzzy Logic, Procedural Level Generation, a assortment of Level Building tools, Maya, Blender Ogre3D,SDL and SFML.

All my MMO knowledge comes from work and I really now, more then ever, realize the insanity of trying to do something like this as a hobby project.

Other then that I see myself as a guy with to many ideas to realize so I try to tackle them one at a time and hopefully I will get something out there that some one will play and remember in the future.
